Build around optionality
The community Wild Dice guide describes a strategy centered on straights, High Die, variety, and deconstructing hands. The transferable idea is not one exact skull order; it is keeping the roll useful when the obvious hand breaks apart.
Before rerolling, identify the two best outcomes the flexible die could complete. If there is only one, the die is functioning like an ordinary held value and the build is not using its main advantage.

Avoid locking the build too early
A Wild Dice run can pivot between a sequence and a value-based hand, but too many narrow upgrades remove that flexibility. Concentrate upgrades only after the skull deck shows a clear scoring line.
When a level opens with an awkward roll, compare the fallback line before spending every reroll to preserve the original plan.
- Two reachable hand targets
- At least one reliable fallback
- Skulls that reward variety or the chosen hand
- Rerolls reserved for the decisive gap
Test the build across ordinary levels
A build is consistent when it clears routine thresholds without depending on a single rare roll. Record several normal hands, not just the highest-scoring level.
If the build only works after a particular skull or upgrade appears, note that dependency. It is a late-run package, not a universal beginner route.
