Confirm that the mode and patch match

Endless Torment arrived through the official 1.3 update line. Later skull and bug-fix changes can alter a build even when the mode name stays the same.

Before using another player's route, compare platform, build, starting conditions, and any active challenge. A score without those details is entertainment, not a reproducible benchmark.

Dice of Kalma board at level eleven with a large threshold
Rising thresholds make version and build consistency more important than an isolated high roll.

Choose scalable interactions

A scalable line is one whose skulls and upgrades continue to contribute together. Avoid a deck where each skull asks for a different rare hand.

Track activation frequency over multiple levels. If an effect stops contributing as thresholds rise, decide whether the rest of the build can carry it.

  • Primary hand
  • Secondary hand
  • Reliable skull chain
  • Reroll pressure
  • Failure point

Review the run at fixed checkpoints

Take notes at regular level intervals rather than only at game over. Record the hand upgrades, skull deck, and the point where resource pressure changed.

Those checkpoints reveal whether the build scaled smoothly or survived through a single lucky stage.

A board snapshot is most useful when paired with the level and build state.
